Our spacious and modern Frans Hals Residence is centrally located on the picturesque Keizersgracht canal, close to the city’s Art District in the heart of historic Amsterdam. This apartment is one and a half flight up.
Our rates include 6% VAT, linen, weekly cleaning and linen change for stays of 10 nights or more, utilities and internet (where present).
Please note that rates do not include city tax, which will be added to your invoice in the booking process and amounts to 5% of the ex VAT (6%) amount and is due 2 weeks before arrival.
An additional fee of EUR50 will be charged for each booking for final cleaning of the apartment.
This light and airy second floor apartment, styled on the Dutch Golden Age painter’s work, overlooks beautiful private gardens. It is within easy walking distance of the city’s many vibrant cafes, restaurants and shops, and the main museums and theatres are easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or tram.

Frans Hals (1583 – 1666)
Frans Hals was a talented artist, specialised in portrait and group paintings. He was born in Antwerp, but moved further north at a young age when the city fell to the Spanish in 1584.
Hals is best known for his ability to capture exact tone, light and expression. Despite constant demand for his work, he was often in financial trouble. As a result, his later paintings are less colourful and detailed, a fact attributed to increasing poverty: black and white pigments were cheaper than colour. After Hals's death, his works became virtually worthless, until he was ‘rediscovered’ in the mid-19th century.
