Our modern and stylish Willem de Kooning Residence is centrally located on the picturesque Keizersgracht canal, close to the city’s Art District in the heart of historic Amsterdam. this apartment is two and a half flight up.
Our rates include 6% VAT, linen, weekly cleaning and linen change for stays of 10 nights or more, utilities and internet (where present).
Please note that rates do not include city tax, which will be added to your invoice in the booking process and amounts to 5% of the ex VAT (6%) amount and is due 2 weeks before arrival.
An additional fee of EUR50 will be charged for each booking for final cleaning of the apartment.

Willem de Kooning (1904 – 1997)
Willem de Kooning was a leading Dutch abstract expressionist painter. After completing his study at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Art, he stowed away on a ship bound for America.
In the 1930s, de Kooning developed his famous abstract style: heightened colours and geometric abstractions. In 1980 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and his popularity soared. At auction in 1989, one of paintings, Interchange (1955), sold for USD 20.6 million. De Kooning was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 1985, the highest honour given to artists in the United States.
