Our chic and luxurious Herman Brood Residence is centrally located on the beautiful Keizersgracht canal, close to the city’s Art District in the heart of historic Amsterdam. This apartment is three flights up.
Our rates include 6% VAT, linen, weekly cleaning and linen change for stays of 10 nights or more, utilities and internet (where present).
Please note that rates do not include city tax, which will be added to your invoice in the booking process and amounts to 5% of the ex VAT (6%) amount and is due 2 weeks before arrival.
An additional fee of EUR50 will be charged for each booking for final cleaning of the apartment.

It provides a spectacular canal view and is within easy walking distance of the city’s many vibrant cafes, restaurants and shops. The main museums and theatres are easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or tram.

Herman Brood (1946 – 2001)
Herman Brood was a contemporary Dutch musician, painter and actor, who embodied the so-called "Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll" culture.
Brood began his career as a piano player and singer, starting his own group, Herman Brood & His Wild Romance, in the 1970s. He began painting in the 1990s, and became known for his large-scale, colourful works reminiscent of the CoBrA style. In 2001, at the age of 54, he committed suicide by jumping off the rooftop of the Amsterdam Hilton.
