Het Spaanse Water (The Spanish Water) is a beautiful, protected, and safe inland lagune at the south-easterly coast of Curacao, with an exit to the Caribbean Sea. At the north side of Curacao, there are many bays and small islands with mangrove vegetation and choral reefs which you can discover while sailing around the island of Curacao. Here you will encoutner a lot of pelicans, frigate birds and many other kinds of birds. There are a lot of colored tropical fish and regularly you will see a sea turtle swimming by. There are impressive views of the Tafelberg, Seru Boca and Kabrietenberg. The most beautiful sail trips and sail journeys are along the coast where you can visit Barbara Beach. Heineken regatta Curacao 6-8 November 2009
An international sail regatta, organised by the Curacao sail foundation. Heineken is responsible for the entertainment program, and as always they will be up to task of turning this into an unforgettable event. The regatta takes place in Sint Annabaai with the maritime museum as a home base for the regatta village. The regatta works magic on Curacao and turns it into a true paradise for the yachtsmen.
